Mostly done on the bridge and saddle except for finish sanding, probable tweaking, doubtful twerking, and glueing.
Certainly finished enough to make a masking template to start the finishing.

Got the bridge mask cut and positioned (with the necessary 2mm of compensation). Body sanded to 220, like the neck, and sealer coat of shellac wiped on.
This one will not be getting a French polish. After the pores are filled and another coat of shellac to seal, it will get a wiped on oil varnish for more protection. It will still be mighty thin and, while containing some poly, this ain't your import's poly finish. It will be as thin and transparent as a good shellac or lacquer finish.

I got the pores filled yesterday. While I was up in Columbus visiting my mother, I stopped in at Woodcraft on my way back for my favorite oil varnish: General Finishes Arm-R-Seal gloss. I've tried others, but I feel the Arm-R-Seal really is the best.

After a quick nib sand with 600 grit, I applied the first coat with a cloth and let it hang.
