pickguard on, or off? when i had my gretsch, it was off, mostly because the rev, jimbo, & scott signed my 'guard, but also because it felt awkward brushing my fingers against it when using the bigsby. w/the guild, it's on, although i've been toying with the idea of removing it so i can see more of that purty wood. what about ya'll?

On! Enough scratches on my guitar already, plus I have an engraved "vanity guard" on my guitar. Also rest my pinky on it sometimes when fingerpicking or tremolo picking. Gotten so used to pickguards I feel my guitar looks "naked" without one.

As the pic in the other thread shows, mine is currently off. Mainly cause I like the looks of the purty wood, & I've never been crazy about the stair step guard on the Guild electrics.

Don't have guards on any other of my electrics at this point...due mostly to the fact that I plan to custom cut my own & I just haven't gotten round to any of them yet.
