Hello Sterling,
As a rule I don't do appraisals for instruments I'm not actually holding in my hands, but I could give you a ballpark figure based on what I see these instruments go for. If it's in really nice condition it would probably bring somewhere around $ 800.00 otherwise somewhat less.
As far as the construction of the back is concerned, the JF-30 always had a laminated maple back.
