Can anyone recommend a luthier to do set up and repair work on a D35 (early '70s) and a beat-up M20 (early '60s)? I am in the New York area but would consider shipping for someone who is highly recommended.

Thanks.

The saddle and the frets on the D35 are quite low; the M20 is pretty beat up -- I'd like, at the very least, someone to look at the nut and tuners.

Sounds like the D-35 needs a neck reset and fret job.
I have done a few hundred Guild acoustic neck resets, but it is a hobby, not a job.
Send me an e-mail.

Luthier needs

I use Holger Notzel at Riverfront Music in Baton Rouge - the same people who make Komet Amps (http://www.kometamps.com). He's done neck resets, refretting, bridges, saddles, nuts, really amazing work on repairs on 6- and 12-strings of every kind AND all our B50's. He's European trained and a great guy to deal with. Cheers! dbs
