I hear that mahogany is more stable than maple, and it looks good with rosewood. Some blond necks look like they could be bleached mahogany, which is probably stronger than maple and looks just as good (to me). Is it possible to bleach mahogany? The contrast of dark mahogany with blonde maple makes me want to say, "Hoch for domen!"

you can get a mahogany bodied starfire and then you won't need to worry. There was one in natrual on eBay recently.
