Did Guild use any Brazilian after 1970?

Yes, they did but not on a big scale. Actually, Indian rosewood was introduced on Guilds much earlier than on Martin guitars and you will find Indian already on Guilds from the mid-'60s.
Brazilian was used for fingerboards and bridges into the '80s.

Sincerely,

Hans

Thanks Hans. I knew Guild had a lot of Indian before 1970, so I thought maybe they didn't have any Brazilian after.

As I understand it, Martin and Guild had different transitions from Braz to indian. Apparently Martin used no Indian through the 60s and then very little Brazilian in the 70s.

But maybe Guild used more Brazilian in the 70s than Martin did.
