Yeah, that's it, but I took the strings off to relieve the tension. It needs a couple of cracks cleated and glued, the bridge needs replacing, and maybe a neck reset, so it's on the disabled list for the time being.

Come on now, Jeff, show me yours!!

Nice collection! Do you keep them all out on stands or on the wall. Right now I am gaining on my collection. Up to 4 guitars but it's a pain getting them in and out of the cases. But it's dry here in Minnesota. I think I can have them out for the summer but don't have enough stands yet.

The other day broke my heart - taking out one ofmy guitars and the lid fell back down as I was taking it out and the latch part just hit the top of the guitar and then dragged across it!!!!!

No, they're all in cases with humidifiers, but I took them all out for the purpose of taking a shot of 'em all together, bragging a bit, and to see if I could figure out my digital camera and how to use the internet to upload stuff. BUT THIS ISN'T ABOUT ME!!

I want to see Jeff's '57 sunburst F-20, West's DV-72, etc.

This thread was designed for all Guild lovers to show us what you've got!! Let me see some Guild porn!

BTW, for you digital camera enthusiasts, how do you get a photo displayed directly into a message on a message board? I've got a lot more tasty photos where this came from!

how do you get a photo displayed directly into a message on a message board?

First you have to have it uploaded to a hosting webspace, like you have already. And since you inserted the URL correctly, you know where the function buttons are located. Simply use the image, Img, button just as you did to insert the URL. To get the correct address for you uploaded photo, right click your mouse over the photo you have uploaded, then go to "properties." That will show you the URL of the actual photo without the host site's default page.

This could get good. We ought to keep it inside for a while till we can see where it goes.

Might make a few bucks from Fender on their next ad campaign, or at least get them to kick in a case of picks or somethng.

Think of it "GUILD.......THE GEZEERS GUITAR"

Song

I accept your offer to post the F20 pic, this could be big..

Song,

That is one fine looking collection. The guitars aren't bad either! All kidding aside, WOW!

Jeff,

How many guitar necks do you go through? Do they ever actually catch fire, or just smoke from the friction of such lightning play? :D Great shot!

Actually, when it happens there 's not much heat involved. It's more cosmic, I can't control it & make it happen regularly, but when it comes on it's kind of like the Aurora Borealis except in black & white.

Any of you guys know how to get it going in color.

Song,

Did you get a chance to play your F20 before you sidelined it. If so, what was your impression. With a harem like yours you're probably a bit critical.

Coastie,

Took no notice of the geezer slight, but the plunkin line hurt. I'll have you know, you not draw cosmic powers from mere air with a guitar that plunks.

As you can plainly see , My F20 sings, sometimes it howls, it does not plunk.

All is good here in Geezerville. Got up this AM, picked for an hour, cleaned up the kitchen, & finished about 8,000 lbs of flagstone (technically quartzite) patio & walkways. Not too bad for a geeze, slow but sure. Tomorrow I start painting the house.

Anybody know what day it is?

Jeff, yes, I did play with it a bit, and my impression was that it had the potential for HUGE volume coming from such a little box. Very punchy, too. I presume your '57 can really deliver the sound as well?

Cool,

I was wondering how you could stand to wait to get yours fixed but then I looked at your Guild harem & figured it out. I only had the one at the time so it was probably different.

I am becoming more critical of the F20 since the DV62 has come to live here. Every so often I realize he little guy just doesn't like to be played in certain ways in certain places & I pick up the DV62. It's a superior instrument in almost every respect, except two, character & volume.

I swear the F20 is louder.
