Hi to all
i am currently thinking of changing the Guild bigsby b2 fitted on my x160 with a bigsby b6. Has anyone done that yet? Any experiences? I am also trying to improve the sustain, since i found out, by comparing the x160 to a gretsch 6120 from 1991, that the latter has a lot more sustain.
Thanks to all in advance for your help!

Changing the Bigsby won't change a thing, except add some holes to the tailblock of your guitar. A B2 is really the same thing as a B6, except for cosmetics. As far as I know, the Guild B2's are made by Bigsby.

A '91 Gretsch 6120 has a soundpost, and heavier overall bracing than a typical Guild, that might account for the extra sustain you're getting with the Gretsch.

Ah! the extra holes! I forgot to check that point. I only thought that, since the first x160s came out with the standard B6 on them, i could change the two w/o drilling.
Thank you very much.
