Wow caveman! That is sweet! I've never seen one like it, but put me first on the list behind you if you decide against it!

Can't quite read the controls....is there a tremolo?

Hi caveman,

Wow is right! That is an unusual looking amp and finish. Does the amp appear to be origional or a refinish? It has a mix of cabinet features from both the early and late 1950's.

It looks like it has two channels: 1-Mic and 3 -instrument along witha a Master Tone control. Can you describe the controls and list the tubes.

Is there any labels that indicate year of manufacture?

You definitely got a cool and unusual little amp here.

I want to bring this one back up & find out what happened with things caveman. Did you buy it? Have you been able to positively identify it?

I want it! 8)

Hey, I totally forgot about this one. I'll give "Caveman" (he's really an extremely nice and well-behaved dad of two daughters, and a great player) a call tomorrow!

Hi All,

I went back and was checking my records and saw that an amp of this type was on ebay last spring. The owner, from NJ, had modified the amp to have one preamp channel drive the other channel. He indicated in the auction that the amp used 1-50L6 (similar to a 6L6) power tube.

The amp I saw had a black vinyl covering on the sides and a whiteish fabric on the front and back. It looked similar to cavemans model but was beat up a bit. The grill cloths, with the stained Guild emblem, looks similar to the one like caveman's however the owner said he sprayed the grill cloth black. The grill covering with the Guild logo stained on the material was used in the early 1950's.
