I was fortunate enough to acquire a 1997 Guild Bluesbird about 6 months ago and it has quickly become my favorite electric guitar. Mine has Seymour Duncan 57 pickups without the chrome covers. It also has push-pull tone controls that I are wired as coil tap switches. Were either of these features (Duncan 57 pickups, coil taps) options from the factory? Terry at Guitar Works here in the Chicago area has examined it and said that the wiring is extremely well done and neat.

Any info would be appreciated.

Maybe Hans will weigh in on that question. My Bluesbird has Seymore Duncan's with covers, and no pot switches, but it could have been an option, or it could have been a custom shop addition.
