New owner to the Bluesbird club. What a great guitar. I went in to the store to pick up a strat and walked out with a '97 BB. Not to mention it was 400 bucks less than a new amstd strat, and twice the guitar.

Standard roundwound 10s are fine - D'Addarios, Ernie Ball - I really don't notice as much difference in brands as I do for acoustics. I assume you have the standard hums - if you do, you can do nicely with 9s as well. If you have P-90s, I'd stick to 10s.

I love flats - on archtops, I find they're too flat-sounding (literally) on a bluesbird.
