Just wanted to share my new Guild with you. I had one in the late '70s, it was the best playing guitar I ever had. Don't know why I sold it, but I've always regretted it. Found this one on eBay, this plays just as good (maybe even better) than my original.

Yup, I'm the fool who paid $818.00 for a guitar with acorns!!! I had one in the seventies, and I've been wanting another one since the day I sold it!!!

Those things just scream "70's." Pretty groovy. You need a flower strap to go with it, of course. And sandals.

I have to wonder about the knobs though. Do you all think they're original? I know my S-100C has the standard black knobs. Did the factory or somebody else match the clear pickguard with the clear knobs?

Here's a pic of my guitar.

And of course I had to have the matching bass! (Talk about hard to find!)

No, they're just clear speed knobs someone put on the guitar. In fact, one of the original black "G" knobs was in the case when I got it.

I kinda like the clear knobs with the clear pickguard. I guess I could buy a set of clear Guild knobs...

I have never seen an acorn bass before. Way cool.

Grot.

That base looks fab ! What a cool duo.

Had no idea there was a matching bass for the S100-C.

Hans; are you out there ? Any idea please of how many basses were made ?

I really need to upgrade my photography.

I don't know if you could calculate how many basses were made as they have the "numbers only" serial numbers on them.

I do know that I had the guitar for five years before I found a suitable matching bass. (It's amazing how badly people can screw up an instrument!)

My favorite was the JS-IIC bass I saw with buffalo head nickels glued to the tops of the knobs and for good measure, one glued to the headstock!
