I've never done this before and I was selling my Seagull S12, I guestimated shipping to the US and Canada, and the winning bidder comes in from the UK????

I'm waiting for him / her to get back to me on their destination of choice. I did a quick look at shipping overseas and the costs are almost what they bid on the darned guitar.

I don't get it.

That is one topic we have discussed here before Graham. I think the answer is probably that things just cost a good bit more in the U.K.. I had noticed that Guilds sold for a fortune there, and one of the European guys wrote back and said that EVERTHING is expensive in the U.K.

It was probably a good buy for him on the Seagull.

Oz sheilas are OK until they open their mouths !

And yes, I do work. Friday 1350 here, lunchbreak.

Need an LTG fix to get me through the PM.

I find that very cool. You're having lunch on Friday afternoon, I'm amusing myself on the computer at 8:00 pm, cali is probably getting ready to or already battling rush hour traffic, yet we can all have a bit of fun at the same time.

CHeck out good old USPS for shipping to England. Less that $100, reliable, 6-8 days. Beats hell of the alternatives.

How can I ship USPS from Canada?

G

Drive it across the border!

Duh !!!

If that's inconvenient, ship it down to me & I'll take it to the Post Office here. Course you'd better send an extra roll of packing tape, I will need to inspect the guitar, you know, make sure there's no damage or contraband.

It's a 12 string right ?? As long as it's gonna be here anyway, probably should take it down & compare it the the f412 here in town. Shouldn't delay shipment more than 48 hours, 3 days at the most depending on
how it stacks up to the F 412

Ah yes, I can see it now.

"Citizenship?"

"Canadian"

"Anything to declare?"

"I declare that shipping from one commonwealth country to another is too expensive in Canada, so I've brought this Canadian made guitar here to send to Scotland to a young soldier currently serving in Kazakhstan, sir."

Crackle of radio, snapping of surgical gloves

But thanks for thinking of me
