I just picked up this Goldtop Bluesbird. It has what appears to be a factory installed Bigsby, but in Googling around for photos of Bluesbirds, none that I've found have the Bigsby. Was this an option that they offered? According to Hans, it is a 2002.

Part Two

My thinking is that it is a modification. IF you look at the photo below, just outside the top bar of the Bigsby you can see two threaded holes in the body of the guitar, which could have been the original bridge position. Any thoughts?

Yep, the holes would've been the original stop tailpiece studs.
