From that all the way over to Irving Berlin.

Here's one he calls "Our National Anthem." And it sure would be easier to sing than what America has now. These are the words I'd like to hear from Rosie.

Here's one he should have called the Upshaw County Anthem. Visuals courtesy of Locoweed Lee.

Here he is with Herb Remington, who is a member of the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame and was in Bob Wills and the Texas Ploughboys with Tiny Moore, my first music teacher. I once got to talk to Herb Remington on the phone. It was as close as I've ever come to having a mystical experience. Comparable to getting Richie Havens's autograph on four of his CDs. Comparable to helping Dave Gonzales carry his equipment into Nita's Hideaway. (And Nita's deserved to be hidden away. And downwind.) Almost comparable to unrinating with Tim Buckley. http://www.rickalexander.com/BigSteel/BulaHula.html
