Hi All,
I have a few Guild's that have active EMG PUPs. On two of them I am having problems with the input jack being too loose to hold the plug cable from falling out. I can see from the wiring that there is an extra connection of the 9V battery that is connected to an additional lead on the jack. I had assumed that the jack was a special type that has a special contact that closes the PUP bias path when a plug cable is installed. I searched around for such a jack and can't seem to find one specifically for active pickup application. Is it possible the part I am looking for is just a stereo jack?
In particular I am looking for the type of jack that is pretty long and is used on thru-the-body designs that come out on the bottom of the guitar and doesnot use a mounting plate. Any help would be appreciated.
