I ran across this s-100 on ebay today:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

I asked the guy what the pickups were that were in it because i didn't think they were guild, but the seller replied and tryed to tell me they are guild pickups. I suppose it is possibly that somebody just took the covers off, but why is one white and one black.... I also think he is dreaming starting the bidding at $1000 when recently these 70's s-100s that are all original have been selling for a little over $900. Anyone know anything about these pickups?

One would have to pull them and look at the back plate; Guild (usually) marked their pups.
As an aside, I used to have a 72 S-100 and one of the covers came off, I never put it back; the bobbins were off-white, almost cream color.

Hello Dreamlander,

Only the bridge pickup is original on that guitar. It's obviously missing the cover though!

Sincerely,
