Hi Everyone

My name is Pete and I'm new to the board.

Can you help me with some information on my B301L Serial No 180241.
How many Left Handed basses were produced, is it a rarity?
Would I be right in thinking it was made in 1978?
I would like to remove the P Bass pickup a previous owner had fitted (quite badly) and replace it with an original pickup, any ideas on how to find one?
I'l try to post some Pix.

Regards
Petek

Hello Pete,

Welcome! Your bass was indeed made in 1978. To the best of my knowledge there are no official figures re. the amount of lefthanded basses that were produced by Guild. Even though there are quite a few in my database, I would say that any original lefthanded Guild bass is kind of a rarity.

Sincerely,

Hi Hans

Thanks for your reply.
The action on the bass is fantastic, I don't think I have played a bass with action this low!
Were the 301's made of mahogany?
Any idea's on replacing the pickup?

Regards
Pete

Hi Pete! I can't help with the pickup issue, but I'm new to this forum as well, so I wanted to say hi.
