Criminy, why did I do this??? Just too good a deal to pass up.

Now I have another distraction. What a thumper, I don't have a Bass amp (yet) & I'm sure my JC 90 will self destruct if I turn it up very much.

What a thumper !!

I know nuthin but nuthin bout playin bass but the same blues patterns I've been playing lately are keeping me entertained.
Bass's don't bend for beans do they.

I'm not even sure if Bass's are suposed to be tuned the same as guitars?

What a whack job, gotta check myself into a clinic here for treatment. I'm rationalizing the whole thing by tellng myself it's good practice for stretching my fretting fingers. Oooh baby this puppy has a long neck.

It has a woobie on the headstock, but the rest of the Bass appears to be clean & good to go.

E A D G just like the bottom four strings on a guitar.

Some folks will drop the E string to a D but that always confused me more than anything else so I haven't tried it lately.

I play my bass through my wife's 90's Fender Princeton. When you reach a certain age, that is much easier than moving around a 110lb. 2x15 speaker cabinet and a 40 lb. amp. Having some hearing loss kinda helps, too. Haven't blown a speaker yet but then haven't had it cranked up past 4 or 5 for any of the venues I've been in.

You sound like you play as well as I do. Are you giving lessons yet? 8)

Have fun. It is pretty and it is a Guild!

These Pilots are starting to appear out of the woodwork. I bought mine two weeks ago and saw another one sitting in the local Guitar Center.

Funny Effin, I was thinking exactly the same thoughts as I drove home with this bass.

Didn't help one bit that I stopped off at the main Goodwill store in downtown Seattle & noticed they had several tattered drum sets laying about.

Also stopped of at Emerald City Guitars in downtown Seattle, they offered me $350 for the bass in trade against a really sweet 70's sunburst D 40 priced at $1499.

Nice old guitar, probaby a 7.5 or an 8, nice action, but there are limits, $1500, whew !!!.
