Matsickma, is that you bidding on that eBay Thunderstar Guitar combo?

Take a look at the sealed speaker compartment. That heavy-duty CTS speaker is actually sitting on a small panel that is, in turn, sitting on a bigger panel.

The 'smaller', black-colored panel is slightly raised up over the bigger panel. The raised panel is slotted on the upper and lower sides, allowing the 'back-side speaker info' (er, soundwaves?) out the front side through the large panel speaker opening. Pretty slick!

Holy moly! Almost like half of the Fender Tone Ring idea from the early '60's!

I hope you get the amp. We can start the Thunderstar Combo Owner's Club.
You can be President.

Looks like the amp sold at a very reasonable price. I have a Thunderstar amp with Superstar power amp section. (That is another story in itself.) I am curious what the packing costs for the the shipper will be.

What was it, 60 pounds or so?
Must be close to it; split chassis, framing for speaker box ...

'Reasonable': I guess so M - would like to see them get a little more respect... You may have done so before but, if you get the chance, why don't you thread the Thunderstar / Superstar amp?; G amps are rare enough as it is; would give folks a chance to see what some of the less common models look like.
