It's official. I actually feel bad for getting such a sweet deal. $550 is about half what this guitar is worth in my book. Pending the upgrade to D'Addario EXL115s, the fret dressing I was so worried about is a non-issue. After the EMGs are gone, I don't think I'll ever stop playing this one. It's different from my S-90, which is the ultimate solid body, but for the price it's just as nice. :D :D :D

By the way, when was the last year for the 70s S-100? Hans?

Hello Dane,

The S-100 was still listed at th end of 1977. I don't think they sold a lot of 'm during that period.
The model was discontinued during 1978 but it's always possible that a few were finished after that.

Sincerely,

Sweet action, you are going to bring that baby shaker over tonight, even with the emg's, right. Unless you are wiring the hb-1's in as I speak. :D
