From which place did you order? A referral from matsickma? I may also end up buying one if I can't doctor up this. It's really not that bad and fits the more than regular wear of the guitar. Peculiar how people want to pay someone to do this to a guitar, rather than wear it in themselves.

Oh, Id fix that one . . black epoxy and a steady hand. There is a filler i just saw in stewmac. its used for inlays to highlight scribe marks in shell and i believe to fill around routs for inlays. It looks like a stick or crayon .I believe it was a referal to matsickma but he refered me the the guy on evilbay. That has plenty of mojo you can keep and still fix the chips. It practice on scrap w/ epoxy to see if you are comfortable with it.M

Yeah, I think you're right! I just don't know what's out there. I'll check out the stew goo.

thinking about putting those scribe lines in the chesterfield inlay?

I'm dying for my W-2 to show up so I can begin a starfire II bass rehab project myself.

Welcome.

Spend lots of $ on the rehab because the economy needs you to.
Luckily my SF I does not need a rehab because I doubt I could do the job:)

Thank's and I probably will.

Shadowcastaz. I'm loving these threads. It's great to see some of what I may soon be going thru. And it's great to know that there are others out there with the starifre flu.

There are a couple. Of course we never seem to post in the Bass thread. Try and search for "krylon" for the most recent restoration thread that I recall.
