Forgive me Guildsters, I have sinned, and am not repentant.

Fellow Guildsters and Geezers, there is lust in my heart. I got to play these three guitars over the weekend. There is no comparison to anything I have ever heard before. I love Guild guitars, but these were head and shoulders above anything I have ever heard before, Martin, Taylor, Gibson, Collings, Huss&Dalton, Olson, this is a completely different league way above their heads today. Thanks to Bob for allowing me to play these outstanding instruments, which are just a fraction of his magnificent collection.

1930 OM-28

1936 D-18

1944 D-28

Some more D-18's 1936, 1938 , 1941 , 1941 , 1942 , 1942 , 1945
And some more D-28's1937 , 1941 , 1941 , 1943 , 1943 , 1944 , 1944 , 1945

Hey, dude, no problem. If it sounds good it is what it is whomever makes it. I don't buy only Guilds but i do love 'em when they're good. I love old Martins, especially when they sound good, but $$$$ doesn't let me own one. Don't feel guilty. I absolve you.

I've been trying to get my friend Darrell's 1939 D-28 for years. I guess the only way I could get it is if he gets both his arms chopped off and his mind is reverted to that of an infants. Even then, it's a shot in the dark.
