I had to stay up late tonight, PBS was running a John Denver Special from 1:00 am till 2:30 am. Well worth the lost sleep though, he must have played that 612 through 5 or 6 songs. Guess we'll always miss him.

They also ran an hours worth of SRV at 10 pm, but I missed that one, and Bob Dylan was on from 12:00 am till 2:00. PBS did well tonight. :D

Oh and now, at 2:30 am.......James Taylor Special......I may be up all night.

Be worth staying up all night if it's the Tribute to James Taylor Red & I saw a week or so ago. If it's the same show, Allison Krauss & Jerry Douglas will blow your doors off with "Carolina On My Mind"

Just so happens I've been trying to learn "Carolina on My Mind" for the last two hours. I'm not even close, song's way more complex than it would seem.

Wish I had stayed up to see all of those. Then again, I can't make it past the nightly news anymore! Also working on Carolina on my Mind, Riding on a Railroad, and Sweet Baby James. What a talent that JT...

An acquaintance of mine recently said he can't stand JT's voice...

Used to be a friend, now just an acquaintance :D

I honestly can't think of a voice any more soothing to me than James Taylor's Dread.
