OK, let's take a good look at this.
On my Guild Models Four, through Seven, the placard says;
"Distributed by Guild Guitar". It then says "Elizabeth, NJ" and finally, "Made in Japan".
But, I have a second Guild Model Four that only kind of half works that I bought for the knobs. It's placard says;
"Aria Musical Instrument". "Model MX-60", and "Tiger Electronic Mfg." "Made in Japan. I have to wonder if the wrong placard got put on this amp.
I would say for sure that these amps were built by the same manufacturer. Obviously Aria had their amps "branded" Loco Box, and Guild had theirs "branded" Guild. I would think that if you ordered amps from "Tiger Electronic Mfg." they would "badge" it with any name you like. This is common practice with the oriental manufacturers.
Just for reference, here's my "Guild" amps;
And of course the "Seven" is a bass amp just like the Loco Box.
Do you think the guy from the Loco Box site would be interested in this info?
