Well, it's a couple weeks old to me now. I'm big into the Van Halen stuff and have been interested in an Axis for some time. Picked it up used. It is all I was looking for.

What are those pups, soapbars of some type or are they stacked humbuckers? Does it have a radiused fingerboard?

I like the guitar stand!

The pickups are MM90's which are made by Ernie Ball for their guitars. They have a "silent circuit" in the guitar to quiet them down. It's quieter than any of my guitars with humbuckers.

The fingerboard is very flat. The frets are radiused...but it's a pretty big radius.

The stand is pretty nice, but at 2300 pounds is a bear to carry up the stairs...... :D

Sorry I meant "compound" radiused fingerboard.

I can see what you mean about the stand.

Okay, I gotta know. Is that a kit or the real mccoy?

Not "real".

A Factory Five that I built completely myself....including paint in my garage.

I don't actually know what a compound radius is......

A compound radius fretboard is one with usually a more defined curve closer to the nut for chording and a flatter radius closer to the body for lead work.
