Never liked Clapton all that much, like him even less now that he's off the drugs. :(
Alvin Lee?

One of the local djs had a story about watching the Woodstock movie and hearing Alvin Lee announce "I'm Going Home,by helicopter" refering to the method of getting in and out of the farm.
The dj said he spent years looking for the version by "Helicopter".

I'm not doing a very good job at stirring the pot. I can't think of any other guitarists that stayed with the blues like Clapton did.

Except for Shoutcast, it's hard to discover new non-USA talent in the States.

"Goin' Home" live at Woodstock is insanely good :D I like at the end where he slams his guitar down on the stage a few times and then tosses it into the crowd! I wonder where that guitar is today?

One of my favorite albums was "Cricklewood Green".
