Another great classic, Simon & G, from Alison and Jerry Douglas here.

This clip is from the Library of Congress "Gershwin" award show honoring Paul Simon.

I saw the show on PBS & it was great Television. Id recommend, if it's ever featured on your cable, you watch it. Really a good show.

Version of the Boxer I do has a verse which I think is by Paul Simon, where usually there is just the instrumental break (Verse 4, before the second lot of Li Li Li). Anyone else do it? It goes like this..

The years are rolling by me, they are rocking even me,
I am older than I once was, and younger than I'll be, its not unusual,
No it isn't strange, After changes upon changes, we are more or less the same,
After changes we are more or less the same.

A friend of mine does that verse, Jerry. I never heard it before he laid it on me one night at the open mic. These days, if I do The Boxer, he sits in on harmony and takes that verse as a solo. One o' these days I might memorize it and add it to my own rendition. :D
