So mello has been readin up on all the happy reviews and stories of good dearmond starfire bass experiences... long story short... he got one and put dark stars in it :mrgreen: the result of this series of events is that there is a 1971 JS-II bass for sale here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13433 (http://letstalkguild.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13433).

Played it for about an hour this morning. The pickups were nice but they didn't really do it for me. This thing kills with darkstars though :mrgreen:

What are you playing thru on the recording ?

The amp is my Fender Bassman 1200Pro head (http://www.dv247.com/invt/41604/). It's recorded via the direct out, right into my computer's line in. My computer has a crappy soundcard so the recording really doesn't do it any justice. Through my Avatar 1x12 cab, live, this amp+bass combination is unbelievable!
