Just bought this! Why does this appeal to me so much? Anyone? Think it will look good with a Bigsby?

I've always wanted one of those, even though I hate pointy guitars. I guess it's the fact that even the reissues are pretty rare. I wouldn't put a Bigsby on it. You'd ruin the value of it.
Besides, looks like that volume knob may be in the way.

I did a little reading, and apparently, they only made about 143 of those 80's reissues. Consequently, they're fetching thousands of dollars on the collectors' market. Harmony central reviews quoted a range of prices paid from $450 up into the $3000 range.
Mind telling us what you paid for that one?
Now I DEFINITELY wouldn't put a Bigsby on it!

Yeah no Bigsby.... maybe a Stets Bar?!? Yeah little Billy is foaming at the mouth over it. He already has his "Lonnie Mack" V. So as far as he's concerned this is the next logical step! My ten year old is a complete gear whore!!!

Nice one Billy ...... the Moderne looks just right for "now".

Slight veer .......... any scholarly types know where Lonnie's Flying V is currently ? Last seen in Rick Nielsen's collection.

Next up for your listening pleasure, CSNY's "Teach Your Children"

And I predict when he hits those dreaded teen years, the music and gear may be the one thing that keeps you talking to each other.

Now you need to add one of these Gibson classics to your collection...

First a Moderne reissue, then the Corvus. Talk about two wild Gibson designs. The Corvus is so ugly it's almost appealing.

The closest thing I have to a wild shape like the Moderne and Corvus is a '74 Ovation Deacon, shown here with a '75 Ovation Viper.
