My google-fu seems to be tango uniform today.

Jack Casady played a Flying V shaped bass in the mid-70's with Hot Tuna. Several places, including Wikipedia claim that Guild built the bass in question. True? If so, details, more info?

(Had to do something to keep this topic active 8) If true then we have another "one of" (as in one of a kind) or one off (as in only one off the assembly line) for this thread).

I've wondered the same thing several a time... all the sources I've come across also said that Guild made it.
Which brings me to my next question: why on earth would anyone ever want a bass (or guitar) in that shape?! yuck!
Maybe this video can lead us to some answers though

Guild didn't make it, Glen Quan did, using an an old Jet-Star neck.

I even played it. Its a bit awkward, definitely meant for standing.

I can believe that. Anything "interesting" about it in terms of sound or feel? Are those Hagstroms on it?

Yes, Jack had a stash. It felt exactly as you'd think, standard great Guild neck, BA bridge/TP. Felt and sounded a lot like my M-85DS actually. Just awkward.

As someone who's loved Jack and Jorma ever since I was 13 and heard "Schizoforest Love Suite" on "Baxter's", I eat this stuff up and lick the plate clean, and say: "Please sir, may I have some more?" Thank you Frono, and Mgod, who are you really?

With only 3 stars, I'm betting the price is negotiable.
