I'm not fond of hard cases - the latches always get loose over time and the tolex tears apart too quickly... My ultimate favorite type of case is a rigid foam gig bag style with neck support. My Sadowsky is in one, my custom Warmoth/homebuilt bass is in one, and my 1969 EB0 is going in one when it's finished... but of course the Starfire is an odd shape. Is anything like this available to fit it?
