Hi Chris; thanks for the link. The author, Wallace Marx, also wrote Gibson Amplifiers 1933 - 2008.

Offshore production: the first pic below is a Guild 50J owned (formerly owned?) by a member here and the second pic is a Univox U305R. Whether outsourced through Multivox as the article suggested or not, it's pretty clear both were made by the same off-shore company; open-lug transformers and kooky circuits relying heavily on electrolytic caps:

50L6 output tubes; according to the article: "The Masteramp 66 had single trio of 50L6 output tubes." I guess this a Masteramp 66 then:

Interesting read; can't say that I remember ever seeing pics of a Double-Twin. Thanks again.
