ChiSonics

Description here. Basically Lakeland tried to recreate the BiSonic sound, found their approach was not satisfactory for 5 stringers and re-engineered. Anyone have more details on the story? How do they compare to Dark Stars or the Original?

I've heard the soundclips and they do sound pretty nice. more mid-heavy though... maybe I'd call it a slightly more modern/hi-fi sounding dark star?
Hanson pickups is one of the brains behind the pickup and they are coming out with their "CS" series soon, which is "internally the same as the chi sonic." that will put them on the market for individual purchase.

Those sound pretty good. I wonder what the prices are going to be like. They'd be a nice alternative to darkstars if they're significantly cheaper.
