I take my ol' D-25M, it's been my camping guitar for decades. Of course, I keep it inside the trailer when I'm not using it, and I used to lock it in the car (only in the shade) when we tented. And I always wipe it down with a little spray wax before placing it back in the case.
Oh, and I avoid mosquito dope like the plague - it will attack the finish on your guitar, found this out the hard way.
Speaking of s'mores, that reminds me of the time we were making s'mores around the campfire with my wife's folks - my mother-in-law's marshmallow burst into flames, and instead of just blowing it out she started waving her stick back and forth; the flaming marshmallow skin came off, flew across the firepit, and landed on my forearm. :shock: I was
not happy. Fortunately, my Guild was safely ion its case.
