I finally finished the old D-25 project. One of the most time consuming and difficult parts to get right, (for me anyway), was getting the finish applied.

The Old D-25 Plays, Sounds and Looks real nice.

Here are some before and after pictures.

Finishing a guitar is one of THE most difficult things to do. Crazy a$$ shape with lots of curves and corners and edges..... kudos to you!! :!: :!: :!:

What kind and how did you apply the finish?
ColorTone Liquid Stain / Seagrave Nitrocellulose Lacquer applied with a HVLP touch-up spray gun.

Buffed out using a buffing arbor with Menzerna compound.

My buffer spins at a very high RPM so I found out the hard way you can screw up and go through the finish with a buffing wheel if your not careful. Did a better job the second time around. :D I'll probably get another arbor just for guitar finishing. I think I'll try a kit guitar build next.
