Here's my latest quiver. A couple of new ones in the mix, and a couple going out of the mix soon.

That's a fine gaggle of Guilds. Especially intrigued by the Studio 302 in black with the mickey mouse pickups. Very nice!

I can't come close to LA's collection.

But this is the first time these two sisters have ever met. They have two brothers that aren't in the photo though, a D25 and a D60.

It's clickable in my signature, but here it is. Probably a year and a half ago or so. That's a long time with no changes.

The one and only 74 D40 purchased new in 75 on Telegraph Rd. just south of Detroit. Two things that I know that I own 100% in this lifetime are this Guild and a solid oak, beveled glass front book case that I strapped to the top of a VW bug with the sun roof open and hauled up to a 4th floor apt.

Oh and recently rebuilt by Kim in his new NH shop. :)

From left to right:
1999 F65CE - purchased with a generous birthday check from my late Mom. It has mellowed nicely, the Fishman is still a fine set up (at least for me). I still think the action is a little high but working on it. This guitar opened the door for a nice series of correspondence with Plant Manager Willie Fritscher at the Westerly shop. I wrote t him to tell him how thrilled I was with the outstanding quality and playability of this guitar. What a true gentleman. Does anyone know where he is now?

1975 SF IV - this guitar was a replacement for the earlier SF V that had been stolen in a burglary at my home in Massachusetts in 1975. (The thieves targeted our home knowing we would be away that evening at my Uncle's funeral). At that time, Guild no longer made the SF V, but had added the master volume control from that model to the SF IV. It's a beautiful guitar, plays like "olive oil" and is due for an intonation and neck adjustment. (BTW, I still pine for my SF V, a birthday gift from my Mom and Dad at a time when such a purchase was a big sacrifice for them. I don't know who was more thrilled when I opened that case, them or me.)

1970 + D-25 - I purchased this D-25, used, from my luthier/guitar tech Jack Romano in 1999. I wanted a guitar I could take on family trips that if something happened to it, I wouldn't be out a lot of dollars or heartache. Little did I know what a great investment ($500.00 incl. OHSC) I had made. Just had a tune up by Jack who adjusted the action/neck, fret dressing, etc. Plays like "margarine" now and has become my go to guitar for messing with pop and blues and whatever whenever wherever.

Here is my home studio/practice area:

We have a finished third floor ( we were once seven people in this home) that I have appropriated for my playing and practicing. Anyone up for living room concert? I'd be happy to host any LTGers in the Philly area.

That's a Fender Twin Reverb, I bought with my first job in 1971. All original and still sounds sweet although I can't carry it anymore. So it will stay permanently on the third floor! LOL

And here is my very first guitar amp, a Fender Vibro-Champ from 1966-67? Some day I'll tell you quite a story about this little screamer.

There are a lot of good memories here!

I hope you enjoy the pics.
