Left the harbor early this morning for a trip into the San Juan Islands just south of the Canadian border.

Twin 225 Hondas create a nice wake, don't you think? 8)

My friend Bob's sweet little island hopping machine.

Good birds, lots of seals, porpoises, beautiful scenery. Who could ask for more? 8)

It's a good thing you showed a picture of the boat. I thought that might have been the wake you left from your kayak.

A friend with Twin 225 Honda's is a friend indeed! I was told a long time ago that "A friend with a boat is better than owning a boat " :)

You got that right. The two happiest days of my life was the day I bought my boat and the day I sold it.

Bob's boat is a real workhorse and very practical for the islands, complete with the ramp that drops right onto the beach for loading/unloading, just like the old WWII LSTs.

Something else to consider is that my paddle is a lot quieter than those twin 225s! There's no 'sneaking up' on anything. I can't get to where I'm going as fast, but what's the hurry? 8)

It's a classic example of the old adage about different strokes,

The wake looks like a smiley of some sort l)l(l

The wake seems to be concentrated in the center, looks like counter-rotating engines? Joe?
