My band Ophir Creek, has been hired to entertain at the Utah Olympic Center in Park City.
The Utah Olympic Committee is hosting a big kickoff party for the 2012 Olympics.
The event will be at the training center for the American Winter Olympics Team.

I know, it's not like we will be playing in England but it should be a lot of fun.
The event is tomorrow, Saturday July 28 from Noon to 5:00pm.

I hope that we will be able to hold up to a 5 hour gig.

Hey TMG... wish I could be there. But, I'll be trying to cut a hole in my (lathe and plaster) ceiling to gain access to a leaking drain. Hope it goes well for you!

We had great time playing at the Utah Olympic Training Center.
We were perched high above the pool that is used as a landing for the Aerial Training.
There were skiers from all levels doing jumps the entire time that we played.
Some were first timers that would use a very short ramp and simply go off the ramp, feet first into the water.
Others were skilled aerial artists which were doing jumps that were amassing.

The people that were in attendance were having a great time and enjoyed our music.
We received a lot of compliments.
On man approached us and was interested in booking us for some events that he has in Arizona.

Five hours was a long time but with a few well needed breaks, we did just fine. My back is feeling it today though.
I feel very privileged to be a part of the band. The guys are great musicians and good friends.
