I was out on the roof early this morning trying to capture the waning crescent moon.

Awesome shot there Joe!

Care to share some technical info?
Which lens, what settings(ISO, etc), any post processing?

Thanks, Ohjay.

This photo is a product of another facet of photography I've been working on for the last few years....digiscoping!
I locate and focus on my subject with my spotting scope (Vortex Skyline 80) set at 20X; then I use my smaller point-and-shoot (Panasonic Lumix) for the shot, usually set at 2-4X.
I've used this technique extensively with birds and have been very pleased with the results. :D

Interesting technique.
Whenever I've tried to take a photo of the moon, the results have been uniformly disappointing.
You've got a winner.

That's amazing Joe! Thats as good or better than any crescent moon shot I've seen. The tips of the fade-outs are sharp!
