Great day in the mountains

High mountain colors are yet to come but superb weather beckoned us to visit one of our favorite haunts just up the road.
A real treat came this afternoon when we topped a ridge just above 6,000' and found a nice lenticular cloud forming above Mt. Baker.

It was a perfect day with panoramic views in every direction! :D

That particular type of cloud spawned a lot of UFO rumors back in the day.
Of all the major Cascades peaks Mt. Baker, Rainier, and Shasta have their fair share.
They're pretty cool to see up close. :wink:

Were you right there Joe? Amazing terrain, good use of that beautiful equipment..... The magic of Photo Joe, outdoor photos extraordinaire!!! .....and he cooks too. :shock: :D but what's really amazing is the beautiful woman at your side. :wink: Steffan
