Hesitation Blues and Mann's Fate recorded in the late '60's. The clips pop up a lot and I think were done for a "folk music" TV show. Jack's bass is one of two Starfires modified by the folks who eventually formed Alembic, but were done before the company was founded. One bass was stolen so another was modified. He's playing the same bass at Woodstock but I don't recall whether the theft was before or after Woodstock. The right answers are in Bass, I'm sure, but I'm too tired to search for you.

Thanks Frono, I really know very little about basses, but did recognize that wasn't like any bass I'd seen before great closeups on those vids. Historical really. Steffan
