It's hard to imagine what rock 'n' roll would be without him. 8)

I always loved that video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClgtoM2RwQY
Posted before, but always great again. Especially the looks of the guy at the Piano. So cool.

"..Leave the amp as I set it! That's my amp and I'm setting it the way I wish it!...That's the way Chuck Berry plays it, you understand?!"

Agreed.

Thunderface needs to photoshop that photo so Chuck is playing a Starfire.

Thanks, it was fun. And I have to give shouts out to kslam for making the request and to Treem for being kind enough to lend his '74 Starfire VI to the guest of honor to play. :D

The late, great Johnnie Johnson. Chuck was an extremely contrary, difficult man. Interesting to imagine what Johnnie could have recounted of his time with the emperor.

Love the part where Marvin calls Chuck on the phone.

And since we're talking Back to the Future, Marty McFly may have blown up a speaker with a Chiquita travel guitar, but I doubt he could play like this!

Hail, Hail Chuck Berry !

The Godfather indeed.
8) Well said Coastie.
That man deserves a great deal more creit than he is given.
Wasn't it John Lennon that said, When asked "What do you think another word for 'Rock and Roll' would be?" ( Rough memory of the question)
His reply, call it "Chuck Berry"
EDIT, I had to go look it up....
"If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'."
-- John Lennon
