Fascinating video of the story of Alan Page, Minnesota Vikings defensive end from 1967 to 1978 and a Pro Bowl selection 9 years in a row. Number 88 finished his career in Chicago and retired in 1981. While still playing for Minnesota he received his Juris Doctor from the Minnesota Law School in 1978 and in 1992 was elected to be an Associate Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court where he remains to this day.

The Purple People Eater has certainly given back!! What a great man! Enjoy the video. :D

Also fascinating, being one of the best and fiercest to play that position for 11 years in the NFL, he apparently has sufferd no ill effects from head trauma (concussions) as so many have.

Good point (he actually played 14 years).

I think the game is much more violent today; the players are bigger, faster, stronger, and they hit like a freight train.
