North of Vancouver Islland, still extending warnings for title waves, but none yet, just get to higher ground...felt into the interior of B.C. up to Alaskan panhandle warnings extended to BC/Wahington coast and on to Hawaii.......lets hope it doesn't get any worse. Steffan
Plates slipping over one another, doesn't usually cause Tsunami danger, but there are larger waves happening......

Very out of the way, no injuries or damage reported, 2nd largest earthquake ever recorded in Canada.. I'm hoping it only amounts to a stress relief on the plates.... On the other hand some fool is probably calling his friends to tell them. "Surfs up" :shock: Steffan

Here's a link to worldwide eartthquakes in the last 7 days. Dozens :shock: Across the Pacific, off the coast of Kamchatka is recently experiencing numerous small earthqakes.

Appears Mongolia is about the safest earthquake sanctuary.

Interesting, just a few minutes before it hits Hawaii.. and they still can't predict how big or small it might be. Businesses are all shut down and hotels moved their guests to the 4 th floor and above.so much for a stress free vacation I guess.

Just had e-mails from friends on the WA coast (Westport and Ocean Shores): quake in the Queen Charlotte Islands was downgraded to 7.1, and the coast is on Tsunami watch at this time.
