Seals are coming into the lower creek to compete with the salmon fishermen.

Are those salt water seals coming into a fresh water stream?
Local harbor seals spend most of their lives out on the bay (salt water) but when the salmon come into the creek below the falls, you can count on the seals to follow.

They're quite adept at catching fish, too!

Wow. What a shot. That salmon looks like it might be almost as long as the seal. It must be laboring pretty hard to swim with it. In that circumstance it becomes a real advantage to be able to breathe through the nose.

Thanks, LTG.

Actually, I've watched this scene play out quite a bit and the seals usually spend a bit of time floating/diving/hanging out right where they caught the fish. They take bites of their catch, sort of play with their food, and generally show off to the other seals.
Whatever isn't eaten by the seals attracts gulls and other birds looking for leftover morsels.
It can be quite a show. :)

And apparently, while Eskimos disdain chum salmon, leaving it for the dogs, they find seal palatable enough. :p
