Way too soon.

Saw him live twice, including what many regard as possibly his best show -- the second set on New Years Day, 1970, at the Fillmore East with the Band of Gypsys. He played for three+ hours.

There are a lot of artists I listened to back then as a teenager who I don't care about at all now, but I've never tired of Hendrix. I feel like he's my generation's Charlie Parker or some such. Astonishing he did all he did before the age of 27.
