My offer was accepted for this Tacoma, Washington built F412 and I promptly paid for it last Friday. I got a tracking number and kept checking it, and it kept saying "invalid number." By this point it was the weekend, so I figured the guitar wouldn't even start to be shipped till Monday (yesterday). But I contacted the seller anyway asking "What's up with this invalid number?"
Sound Pure, the seller, is a brick and mortar store in Durham, Pennsylvania. I heard back on Monday. The number was correct, but reverb had indicated the shipper was FedEx instead of USPS! So Sound Pure had indeed shipped it out on Friday. Now when I checked tracking, the guitar was already over in Spokane! All the way across the country in 3 days? Cool! A couple hours later, it had already left Spokane and was delivered to the little post office where I pick up my mail! I went down and got it!
So, OMG, what a GORGEOUS guitar. I'm definitely into bursts, but I never had a "tea burst" before. In excellent shape as advertised. Kudos to Sound Pure! The ad mentioned that their luthier gave it a fret dress and setup, and the action is fantastic -- so easy to play. And the tone -- so balanced, love the bass presence, everything a jumbo maple archback ought to be....
