I've mentioned several times before that I am not much of a 12 string lover or player and truth be told not much of a player regardless of the number of strings. But, I love my guitars as well as anyone I think and enjoy playing them each and every day. Also, truth be told I really do love the sound of a 12 string especially in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing.

I've been going through my guitars and have decided to part ways with some of them that receive little to no play time. They're not bad guitars at all, I just have several others I appreciate a bit more.

So, my D 1212E was on the list but I always spend some final time with the guitars I'm parting ways with just to be sure it's what I really want to do. Well, I've decided the D 1212E is for sure a keeper. It's a really attractive all-Hog 12er that plays easily and sounds really good to my ear. It's also a Dreadnaught size which I find to be more comfortable to play) at least to me_ than a Jumbo Guild 12 string. Asian built for sure but it was really attractively priced and it serves my purposes just fine.
I've been going through my guitars and have decided to sell off several that get little to no play time.

I also have a D-1212 (non-E version) and agree that it has a very pleasant sound and is very easy to play - perhaps the easiest acoustic 12-string I've ever played. Probably a good choice for someone who doesn't play a 12er very often.

Even though I own three 12-string guitars (Guild JF55-12, Guild D212, and Taylor 856), I remain intrigued by the D1212. I've never had the chance to play one, but I don't think I've ever seen a bad review. The idea of an all mahogany 12 string guitar just makes sense to me.

My D2612CE is a great sounding stage guitar. If I only had that acoustic I would be happy with it. Thankfully I have the good fortune to have a few to choose from and the luxury of being able to leave it where my band practices and play my F112 or G312 at home.
