I can't accept that the out-of-phase pickups were unintentional. Every other guitar builder, from Fender and Gibson to Harmony and Kay, got it consistent, yet Guild didn't care?

Spend some time with '50s Gibson ES-5 archtops, and you might rethink this.

My ‘59 CE 100D has out of phase pickups. As mentioned previously it actually sounds pretty cool when one or the other volume is turned down just a bit so I’ve never bothered to change it.
